A preliminary analysis of the programs at engineering schools in the United States by Besterfield-Sacre and colleagues found that the main differences between these programs were the density of their offerings, Carnegie Classification, and physical spaces, including prototyping rooms. It was recommended that engineering schools establish entrepreneurship programs in partnership and collaboration with industry partners. Men and women have different entrepreneurial intentions. This study investigated the role of several factors in determining entrepreneurial motivation in women and men engineering students. It was specifically determined whether the presence of research institutions or participation in entrepreneurship activities can be used to predict entrepreneurial intent. Also, we looked at whether students who come from different social backgrounds are more likely than others to become entrepreneurs. These variables had a direct relationship with each other. It was found that students are more likely to have entrepreneurial intentions if they are determined enough.
